Spray Tan Tips and FAQ
Tips for a Perfect Spray Tan
Prep Your Skin: Shower, shave, and exfoliate the day before your appointment. Avoid using oil-based products, as they can leave a residue that affects the tan.
Dress Comfortably: Wear loose, dark clothing you don’t mind getting dirty—think old sweatpants and a loose t-shirt. Avoid jeans or tight-fitting items like yoga pants.
Skip the Products: Arrive with clean, dry skin. Avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup before your appointment.
No Last-Minute Showers: Don’t shower immediately before your tan; skin should be completely dry for the best results.
Post-Tan Care: Wait at least 8 hours before showering to allow your tan to set properly.
Stay Loose After Tanning: Wear loose clothing for at least 4 hours post-tan to prevent rubbing or discoloration.
First Shower After Your Spray Tan
Use a light, warm shower to rinse off the excess bronzer.
Avoid scrubbing—let the water gently wash over your skin.
Shower until the water runs clear to ensure all excess bronzer is removed.
Pat your skin dry with a towel (do not rub!).
Apply an alcohol-free moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. Reapply every 4 hours if possible for best results.

Yes, spray tanning during pregnancy is generally safe, especially with paraben-free, vegan, and naturally derived solutions. However, consult your doctor about the product’s ingredients, protect sensitive areas (like your nose and mouth) during the session, and be aware that hormonal changes may affect results. A patch test can help ensure a safe, even tan.
